I grew up in Lander, Wyoming — a small mountain town where half the people you meet are rock climbers and the other half are cowboys. Their stories of adventure, commitment, and authenticity continuously inspire me and I’ve been chasing wild places with a camera ever since. I'm not interested in manufacturing moments or running couples through a contrived shot list. I'm interested in those authentic moments: the quiet look before the vows, the way your people laugh together, the light hitting the beautiful landscape at exactly the right second. My couples tend to choose locations that mean something to them. A mountain they've dreamed of hiking together. A vineyard in a country they've always wanted to visit. A stretch of coastline that lives in your imagination. They're not looking for just another backdrop — they're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I'm still that mountain town kid, except now I’m based in Helena, Montana. I photograph weddings across the Mountain West — Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and wherever the next one takes me.

I specialize in small weddings (typically under 50 guests) where the focus is on the people and the place rather than staging a production. That looks different for every couple. Whether it’s a mountaintop ceremony with your ten closest people, a full wedding weekend with all your friends at a Rocky Mountain ranch, or just the two of you somewhere that took your breath away the first time you saw it — let’s create an experience uniquely YOU.

The Summit covers your full wedding day starting with the getting ready, the ceremony, the celebration, and everything worth catching in between. Eight hours gives us the freedom to move with your day as it happens, across locations, through changing light, into the quieter moments that arrive once everyone has settled in. A full record of everything your day held.

The Expedition is two experiences — your wedding day covered in full, and a separate *engagement session. The engagement session is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other and grow comfortable in front of the camera.
*I find the friendship we create in this session makes for beautiful wedding photos.
The wedding day covers the whole day, from start to finish, giving the celebration the space it deserves.

Typically under 50 guests — weddings where the intimacy of the day is part of the point. That said, I don't have a hard cutoff. If the wedding sounds like a good fit, reach out and we'll figure out if I'm the right photographer for it.

Every package includes a pre-wedding consultation, fully edited images, an online gallery with print release, and delivery within four weeks. Travel is billed at cost and discussed before you commit to anything.

My style is all about letting you experience your big day uninterrupted. I focus on the candid, in-between moments that capture the feelings of your wedding or elopement.
Of course, we will have some posed photos. But I like to view these as breaths of fresh air from your busy day — curated so the two of you can enjoy the experience as a couple. The posing guidance is minimal and always pressure/rush free
