A winter engagement session in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest just outside Helena, MT offers a dramatic backdrop for couples who love Montana’s natural beauty. The Elkhorn mountains, snow-covered pines, and quiet forest roads create an intimate setting that feels both adventurous and peaceful — a perfect location for Abi and Shane.
During this Helena engagement photography session, I really focused on balancing the beautiful close-up moments with the dramatic backdrop of the Elkhorn Mountains. We are so lucky to have these views in our back yard and it would be impossible to truly capture this adventurous couple’s story without the mountains.
